ABS’ defender, Idris Aloma feels his side are ready to emerge from the shadows when they tackle city rivals, Kwara United today.

The two teams will come head-to-head in a Matchday 25 fixture of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL), which will be decided at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

This season’s reverse fixture ended in a stalemate.

Aloma, 19, who joined the Saraki Boys from defunct Babanawa FC told SuperSport.com that ABS are in high spirit to face the Afonja Warriors.

The teenager, who is campaigning in the Premier League for the first time, added that ABS FC have no excuse to lose against Kwara United.

“We have been paid all our salaries and bonuses and we are going to express our gratitude by beating Kwara United mercilessly.

“Although they are at home, but that should not get into their heads because we are using the same ground,” Aloma said to SuperSport.com. Responding to Aloma’s assertion, Kwara United centre-back, Isiaka Oladuntoye believes it is time for United to avenge last term’s defeat his side suffered at home against ABS FC (then known as Bukola Babes).

“Last season, we were disgraced at home and it’s time for us to revenge that 0-3 loss,” Oladuntoye told SuperSport.com.

Meanwhile, ABS will miss the service of their caretaker coach, Kabir Sulaimon Dogo who is at present attending a seminar in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
