Ochayi Shuns Wolves For Enyimba

Goalkeeper Richard Ochayi has insisted on staying put at Enyimba despite an offer from fellow Nigeria Premier League side, Warri Wolves.

The experienced shot stopper said he is happy at the Aba side, who remain one of the front runners this term.

Ochayi was linked with a move to Warri Wolves during the current transfer window.

He told MTNFootball.com that he was approached by Warri Wolves but he is not interested as he is very much settled at Enyimba, where he is now the first choice.

He said: “I am happy at Enyimba. I am doing well and as such I do not wish for any distractions.

”Enyimba are one of the top teams in Nigeria and Africa and I am happy playing here, and want to stamp my authority here and won’t leave the team at least for now.

“It is true that Warri Wolves wanted me but I thought over it and resolved to remain with my team.”

Ochayi has been outstanding since joining Enyimba this season after he quit Kaduna United and has become the number one choice ahead of Paul Godwin and Chinedu Agwu.
