Fela’s d3aughter Yeni Anikulapo Kuti has been attacked by armed robbers.
P.M.NEWS learnt that Yeni was attacked on Friday at Adebowale Street, off Aina Street, Ojodu, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria, at about 12.30 am on her way home from the New Afrika Shrine.
P.M.NEWS gathered that YK Power, as Yeni is popularly called, was in company of Femi’s producer who was at the shrine to watch Femi’s rehearsals when the incident occurred.
Yeni was robbed of her car, a Hyundai ix, mobile phones, lap top, money and some personal effects at gun point.
Yeni confirmed the robbery incident, saying it was an experience she did not want to talk about.
The Shrine manager Sunday Essien also confirmed the robbery attack, saying that the car has been recovered.
“The car was recovered same day at about 4 a.m. on Ondo Street, Ebutte Metta, Lagos where it was abandoned.”
