Ayeni Tasks Youths On Nigeria’s Challenges

The Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Youth, Sports and Social Development, Babatunde Ayeni, has challenged youths in the state to fashion out ways to be independent.

This, according to him, would help them concentrate on the issues that would improve on growth and development of the state.

The House Committee Chairman tasked officials of the National Youth Council, Lagos Chapter, when they paid a familiarization visit to the House on recently.

Ayeni said the youths are the leaders of tomorrow, saying that there is need for them to be focused on issues that would promote the country positively rather than engaging themselves in social vices and thus bringing shame to the country.

The lawmaker, therefore, congratulated the youths on their efforts in resolving their factional differences which was done at the instance of the state government and the House.

The lawmaker thereafter promised that the House would continue to assist the youths in order to achieve their desired goals for the benefit of the state.

In his address, the state Chairman of the NYC, Mr. Gbadebo Oluwafemi, commended the House for resolving the crisis that had lingered in the council for a long time, promising that the youths will continue to contribute to the development of the state.

According to Oluwafemi, the youths have confidence in the Lagos Assembly, which he said, believes the roles of the youths, their contributions and potential in nation building.
