Rangers' Form Excites Gero

Flying Eagles invitee and Rangers International forward, Alhaji Gero has expressed his delight over his team’s league form that has seen the Enugu state based club rose to the top of the domestic league.

Rangers opened a four-point gap at the top of the NPL after a 2-0 home win over champions Dolphin on Wednesday.

Gero put the match beyond the visitors when he doubled the lead in the 51st minute to end the game 2-0, earning Rangers 43 points from 24 matches, while closest rivals Enyimba forced Kano Pillars to a 2-2 draw to have 39 points.

Speaking after the match, Gero said he was delighted with his effort and has so far enjoyed his short stay at Rangers.

“I am happy with my form since I came here. I know great things will happen to me here right from pre season, and I thank God he has been with me.

“Our form right from the beginning of the season has been impressive and I want to score as many as I can to help my team win the trophy.”
