Kwara United Axe 7 Players

The management of Nigeria Premier League, NPL, club, Kwara United have lividly kicked out seven of their players.

A report monitored on SuperSport.com says the move was a result of the club’s 0-1 home defeat against city rivals, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, ABS FC in an NPL Matchday 25 fixture, which was decided at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Wednesday.

The Chairman of the Ilorin-based club, Alhaji Toyin Olokoba confirmed to that the affected players have been notified, stressing that they must vacate the team’s camp with immediate effect.

The axed players are Semiu Sulaiman, Solomon Yahya, Ndubuisi Obi, Charles Omokaro, Edebiri Amafe, Habib Abubakar and Lukman Saka.

Olokoba also sounded a note of warning to the duo of Suraj Sodiq and Lukman Ijaiya to lift up their performance in order to avoid being thrown out.

“We have to do what we have done for us to achieve our target of picking a continental ticket at the end of this season,”Olokoba said.
