The Ojudu family in Ado-Ekiti has announced the death of their patriarch, Pa Jimoh Ojudu, who died in the town on Sunday at the age of 80.
A statement by his first son, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, representing Ekiti Central in the upper chamber, describes Pa Jimoh Ojudu as a loving father and a community leader who devoted his life to the raising of his children into successful adults and to defending the cause of his community.
Senator Ojudu said he derived his activist instinct and boldness from his father who would not stand by and watch an innocent soul suffer.
While he wished his father eternal rest, the lawmaker said although his dad was well-advanced in age, his care and guidance would be greatly missed by him and his siblings.
Pa Jimoh Ojudu is survived by six children, many grandchildren and a great grandchild.
