Dodan Warriors' Prodigy Dreams Olympic Games

Dodan Warriors centre, Abdul Yahaha has said that his immediate target is to make the D’Tigers squad for the Olympic qualifier holding in Caracas, Venezuela next month.

The former player of Kada Stars of Kaduna, who joined col. Sam Ahmedu (retd)- Dodan Warriors in January, has impressed lovers of the league with his skillful performance this season. This earned him a call-up to the home-based D’Tigers camp last month.

“I have been training really hard separately from my team since I came back from D’Tigers camp for me to be fit for the challenges ahead.

“My target now is to maintain my form so that when I am called upon to compete against the foreign-based players, I’ll be able to prove myself to the national team coaches.

“It has always been my dream to play for my country at a major championship, and now that I have been given an opportunity to prove myself and hopefully, be part of Team Nigeria at the London 2012 Olympics; I won’t want to disappoint myself and my fans,” said Yahaya.

Yahaya is one of the five home-based players selected to be part of ’Tigers for the tour of China later this month.
