America’s Mardy Fish, missing in action in the Mutua Madrid Open, has fallen out of the top ten tennis players in the world, in the latest South Africa Airways ATP rankings. With 2660 points, he is now Number 11, from his former number nine position.
His compatriot, John Isner remains number 10, behind Argentine, Juan Martin Del Potro, who climbed two steps into number nine.
Serbian, Janko Tipsarevic(3,090) retains his 8th position. Tomas Berdych, who lost the Madrid open final to Roger Federer is 7th, with 4410 points.
Rafael Nadal is the major headline change in the top five, losing his number two position to Roger Federer, the Madrid open champion.
Nadal, with 9,105 points, is now third in the ranking, Over 300 points now separate him from Federer, at 9,430 points.
Britain’s Andy Murray(7,500) remains fourth, and French boy, Jo Wilfred Tsonga(4,930), fifth, with Novak Djokovic still comfortably perched on the number one seat with 11,200 points.
