National Telecommunications operator, Globacom, has advised the U-20 women national team, the Falconets, to go for an outright victory when they encounter Congo’s women U-20 team, the Leopardess, in the second leg, final round of the 2012 U-20 Women World Cup in Kinshasa on Sunday.
Globacom yesterday urged the team not to rest on their oars until the second leg victory is achieved.
The company commended the Falconets for their outstanding performance during the first leg, in which they outclassed the Congolese by four goals to nil in Abeokuta.
“This is the time for the Edwin Okon-led coaching crew to correct lapses noticed in the Abeokuta encounter as they prepare for the last hurdle in Kinshasha,” Globacom enthused.
Globacom also commended the rebuilding process so far undertaken by the technical crew with the aim of not only getting the team in shape, but also assembling the best eleven capable of making Nigeria proud.
The company assured the team that Globacom, as the major partner and official sponsor of the national teams will continue to sponsor and encourage Nigerian national teams in their quest to win laurels for the country in World football.
