Sodje Brothers, English Coaches Hit Lagos

The Lagos State Football Association, LSFA, today welcomed the Sodje Brothers and certified English coaches, who are in the state for a four-day visit.

As at the time of filling this report, the trio of the Sodje football dynasty, Steve, Efe and Sam, met with officials of the LSFA at the Maple Cottage, Lekki.

The Sodje Sports Foundation and the English coaches, according to the LSFA Chairman, Seyi Akinwunmi, is the beginning of new dawn in the state because they are in the state to lend their support to grassroots football development.

Akinwunmi disclosed that 400 pairs of boots, kits and other football equipment will be distributed to grassroots teams.

, adding that the mission of the foundation is to help countries to develop from within, starting with the empowerment of the young people who are the future of these underdeveloped countries.

“Each division is to pick 36 players from different clubs in the division that are affiliated with the LSFA and also coaches from different councils within the divisions. On the final day of the tour, the English coaches will point out corrections in the areas that are needed,” he revealed. Meanwhile, the Sodje Sports Foundation team which includes; Efe Sodje, Steve Sodje, Sam Sodje, Paul Fairclough English FA Coach and England C Manager and Olufemi Amusan, the SSF International Media Advisor will pay a courtesy to the Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Mr. Wahid Enitan Oshodi in his office.
