Tesjak Cup: Winners To Get Plot Of Land

Organisers of Tesjak Cup have promised to reward the winners of the championship with a plot of land located at Iyanalogbo, Ifo Local Government, Ogun State.

Speaking at the draw ceremony of the Tesjak Soccer championship held on Sunday at Egbeda area of Alimosho Local Government, Lagos, the Chairman of the Organising Commitee, Taiwo Adeleke said he expects the tourney to be kneely contested as every participating team will try give their best, especially with the juicy packaged for the eventual winners.

He said the idea of giving a plot of land to the winners of the tournament is to bring the best out of all the participating teams.

“We will reward the winners with a plot of land, while the second and third positions will go home with the sum of N60,000 and N25,000 respectively. We are doing this to add some glamour to this competition,” said Adeleke, who promised other consolatory prizes for outstanding players in the tournament.

Adeleke charged the teams not to see the competition as a do or-die affair, adding that the organisers will use qualified refrees to officiate all the matches to avoid biased officiating.

“I am assuring all the participating teams of good officiating. I also want the teams to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the competition. I wish them the best of luck in their matches,” he said.

Some of the coaches who attended the draw ceremony told GSG that they were impressed with the top prize for the winners of the competition, as this will motivate the team to perform very well.

Meanwhile, 12 teams have been drawn into four groups.In Group A, Real Madrid (Star Bombers FC) will tackle Juventus (Bekons) and Arsenal (Lucky Babes).

Group B has Chelsea (Akinsola Babes), Manchester United (Spartan FC) and Manchester City (Orient Sport FC). To do battle in Group C are: Inter Milan (United Citizen), Bayern Munich (Handsworth) and Liverpool (Messiah), while Marseille (Dynamic FC) will confront Barcelona (Mighty FC) and AC Milan (Agege United) in Group D.

Three matches will be played on Sunday at the Anwaru Islam Model College, Agege.

In the opening match, Real Madrid face Juventus, Chelsea play Manchester United, while Inter Milan tackle Bayern.

Munich in the last match of the day.
