The remains of Professor Adetokunbo Babatunde Shofoluwe, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos will be laid to rest on Thursday, 31 May, 2012.

A candle light procession attended by varsity dons, non academic and academic staff and students was held at the institution’s Senate building on Tuesday night as part of activities lined up to honour the late VC.

Meanwhile, as preparations are on-going to give Prof Shofoluwe a befitting burial, a source told Campus Square that his family members are not satisfied with what led to his death and are still investigating circumstances.

The source said: “The burial could have been this week, but I guess it was fixed for a later date due to the controversy about how he died.”

The professor was said to have died of a cardiac arrest.
