Yaba LCDA has maintained its class in the ongoing Lagos State Sports Festival, tagged “Ibile Games” aimed at preparing athletes in the state for the 18th National Sports Festival, NSF, to be hosted by the state in November. The festival enters its fifth-day today.
At the Games, Yaba athletes have maintained their lead since the Festival commenced at various centres in the state.
As at the time of filing in this report, Yaba LCDA was leading the Festival featuring 25 events registered for the forthcoming National Sports Festival.
The medal table released on Thursday by the Technical Department of the Games showed that Yaba remained on top with 18 gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze medals.
They are followed by Bariga LCDA with 13 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze. In third place is Ibeju-Lekki, that has won 7 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze.
