Spiritualist Warns Mimiko Ahead Polls

A Kano-based mystic, Aliyu Abdul Rasheed has called on Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state to partner with traditional and religious institutions to ensure free and fair governorship election in the state in October this year.

Abdul Rasheed who is the spiritual leader of Almubara Silver, said he foresees violence and bloodshed in Ondo governorship election if serious prayers are not offered.

The Ondo state-born spiritual leader who hails from Oka Akoko in Akoko South-West Local Government Area urged Governor Mimiko to consult all stakeholders and elders in the state with a view to finding solutions on how to avert, “impending danger during the forthcoming election in Ondo state.

“I received a message that if adequate measures are not taken, the coming governorship election in Ondo state may be violent in the major local government areas. There may be misunderstanding between some elders and some local government chairmen because some group of people are warming up to incite the people.

“If care is not taken, it will lead to loss of life and property, especially in the Akure city. During of my prayers, I received a message that Governor Olusegun Mimiko will still continue in office, but he needs to go into deep in prayers because the opposition are all out to unseat him.”

Rasheed further urged Mimiko to be wary of the activities of members of his cabinet, adding that Mimiko’s opposition are working hard to penetrate his kitchen cabinet.
