Turkish Clubs Jostle For Ehiosun

Super Eagles striker, Ekigho Ehiosun, who arrived the camp of the national team on Tuesday night and trained with the squad on Wednesday at the practice pitch of the Abuja National Stadium, has revealed that he will not return to Samunspor FC, Turkey next season.

Ehiosun, whose 15 goals in 34 appearances for Samsunspor could not help the team to avoid relegation, said the management of his club knows he has made up his mind not to play for the club again. And from all indications, he is likely to remain in the top flight in the Super Liga in Turkey as his agent is working to secure a deal soon before the season commences.

“I’ve made up my mind to leave Samunspor and the officials know about this. I did not hide it from them as my loan deal with them expires on 31May. My parent club, Warri Wolves are also aware of this,” Ehiosun told P.M.Sports in Abuja.

The striker further said that three top clubs in Turkey are now jostling for his services come next season due to his exploits. Interestingly, one of the clubs will be playing in the UEFA Champions League, while the remaining two, will trade tackles in EUROPA Cup. He stressed that the lure to play in the most elite club competition is a big attraction and he hopes everything works out well.

“ I was reliably informed that three main clubs in Turkey wants to sign me next season. I am glad that one of them will play in the Champions League, so, it will be a good experience for me to be a part of these competitions especially the UEFA Champions League. I don’t want to mention the clubs for now, until everything is sorted out,” he added.

However, P.M.Sports scooped thar Fernabache are strongly linked to signing the Nigerian striker to the extent it almost became a war on the social networking websites between fans of Samunspor FC and Fernabache.
