Yusuf, 2 Others Fly Nigeria’s Flag At Wheelchair Tennis W/Cup

Paralympic Games bound Wasiu Yusuf, Alex Adewale and Jude Uwaize would be flying the country’s flag as the Wheelchair Tennis World Cup served off in Seoul, South Korea yesterday.

The team, led by Frank Tarmena were grouped alongside Germany, Australia, Thailand and Israel in Group 11, while a top-three placement will see it gain promotion into Group I, which has the likes of global powerhouses Netherlands, France, Sweden Poland, Belgium and Great Britain.

Brimming in high spirits, the team wrapped up their three-week close camping in Lagos on Thursday and had a brief meeting with the Nigeria Tennis Federation President, NTF, Engineer Sani Ndanusa, who assured the players to facilitate more domestic and international tournaments.
