Ikhana Threatens To Quit

Chief coach of Super Falcons, Kadiri Ikhana, has threatened to resign his appointment if the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, assigned a foreign or local Technical Adviser for the team.

Ikhana made this threat while unveiling his squad for the African Women Championship, AWC, in Abuja yesterday. The former Enyimba of Aba coach stressed that he is an experienced coach who does not need anybody to boss him.

“I know what I want from this team and we are already working towards that target. I don’t think the NFF will assign a foreign Technical Adviser for the team, but if this happens, I will have no choice than to quit the scene,” he said.

The CAF Champions League winning coach also revealed his strong desire to make the Falcons a winning squad on the world stage, adding that Nigeria is blessed with talented players capable of winning the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Canada in 2015.
