International Association of Athletics Federation, IAAF activities to promote athletics as a sport for the future generation continue to develop.
The IAAF project will continue with the visit of the IAAF Kids’ Athletics project leader currently visiting Egypt, which appropriately was one of the founder members (and the only one from Africa) of the IAAF 100 years ago.
During his stay in Cairo, project manager Abdel Malek El Hebil will conduct a course for specialist lecturers at the IAAF Regional Development Centre in Cairo and give a presentation of the first IAAF Kids Athletics’ International Seminar which is being organised by the University of Cairo. He’ll also meet with and take part in various school and youth actions with the Egyptian Athletics Federation.
The IAAF Kids Athletics Programme, sponsored by Nestle, is a key component of the IAAF Athletics’ World Plan since it was established in 2003. Since that time, Kids Athletics has reached a cumulative audience of 1.5 million kids across 100 territories with all the course material available, free from the IAAF website, in 24 different languages.
