Lagos, Osun Lawmakers For Novelty Match

Two Legislative Houses of Assemblies, the Lagos State House and their Osun State counterpart will on 30 May dump the maze, a sign of their legislative authority, and head for the field of play in a novelty match.

The novelty match, which kicks off at 3pm holds at the Agege Stadium, is part of activities marking the commissioning of the new chamber of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Another novelty match scheduled for that day will be between Alimosho Local Government Council and Surulere Local Government Council. Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs Orelope Adefulure will be the Special Guest of Honour, while Chief Molade Okoya–Thomas will be the Special Guest. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji is expected to lead other members of the house to the venue. All councilors in the 57 Local Government Councils and LCDA are expected at the colourful event.
