Longe Omolaja/Ago Iwoye,
Banks on the campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago Iwoye are still shut despite the efforts by the Ogun state government to improve security.
The banks were shut five months ago after a fatal robbery attack on five out of the 11 banks on the campus.
Three persons died in the attacks.
Banks in the towns of Ago-Iwoye and Ijebu-Igbo are also shut. And the automated teller machines are also no longer in use.
Many students and lecturers now face the rigor of traveling to ijebu-ode,Ibadan and lagos to pay school fees, dues and conduct other personal transactions.
The ijebu-north local government area in Ogun state has been a theatre of operation for underworld men, who often rob with impunity.
