Gbagada Mock Nations Cup: Enitan, Mamora For Draw Ceremony

Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Oshodi Enitan, and former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Senator Olorunmbe Mamora, will be among guests expected to grace the draw ceremony of the 10th Gbagada Mock Nations Cup.

The draw ceremony holds next Tuesday at the Agape Event Centre, Gbagada, Lagos. Chairman of the tournament’s Orgainsing Committee, Kemac Emina, told GSG that they have sent letters of invitation to some dignitaries who have promised to come for the event.

Other invited guests are His Royal Majesty, Oba Sejiro Olalekan James of Kweme Kingdom, Badagry, former Kosofe Council boss, Tunde Braimoh, former Golden Eaglets player, Kabiru Akinsola, club owners and coaches.

Kemac said the organisers are ready for the draw ceremony and are looking forward to staging a memorable tournament.

“We are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Gbagada Mock Nations Cup and we want this year’s edition to be a memorable one. Some sponsors have signified their interest to partner with us to stage this year’s tourney when the competition kicks off on 10 June at the Gbagada Roundabout playground,” he said.

Kemac charged the 32 participating teams to abide by the rules governing the game, warning that any club that violates the rules will not only be disqualified but will face a two-year ban from the tournament.

He advised the teams not to see the tournament as a do-or-die affair, adding that organisers will not condone any act of indiscipline during and after the game.
