Prince Gas Cup: Councillor Donates Jerseys To Organisers
Galubi Ramoni Akinsola, Councillor for Ward E in Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Lagos, has donated two sets of jerseys as a mark of support for the forthcoming Prince Gas Soccer Championship, which holds next month.
Akinshola told P.M.Sports that he donated the jerseys as part of his contribution to the success of the tournament and to sports development in his ward. He also promised to assist the organisers before the closing ceremony.
He charged the organisers to treat all the participating teams equally and warned the players to desist from any vice that can tarnish the image of the tournament.
Match Coordinator, Sulaiman Gbadamosi, expressed gratitude to Akinshola for his kind gesture and promised.
“We want to thank our councillor for what he has done. This shows his support for the success of this competition and I want to assure him that we’ll not let him down,” he said.
Sixteen teams are expected to take part in the championship. The draw ceremony is expected to hold on 9 June inside Oba of Igando’s palace.
