Solidstar Drops New Single

Known for a unique voice that sets him apart and keeps one rooted to a spot at first hearing, SolidStar, has yet again dazzled pundits and critiques with the release of a new single, Skibo, last week.

The new single leans towards the upbeat and groovy direction, a direction that is not new to fans of the Delta State indigene. Propelled by his previous major hits like Omotena and One in a million featuring 2face, Solidstar remains a fans’ favourite across the continent and with a new album nearing completion, the singer-songwriter says he’s ready and happy to bless fans with the final single off his yet-to-be-titled second album.

“In an environment where there’s so much crime, confusion and crises, people want to take their minds away from everyday issues, and get their groove on,” he said.

Produced by Slim Beat and written by SolidStar, Skibo would make a first appearance online today 30 May.

Solidstar, born Joshua Iniyezo is signed to Achievas Entertainment. He brings to the table a distinctive blend of reggae, R&B and traditional African music, a factor that sets him apart. In 2009, Solidstar released his first album- One in a Million; he has since then raised the notch by proving his class, versatility and staying power beyond doubt and earned the status of an act to watch out for.
