As children celebrated their day on Sunday 27 May, singer and producer Darey Art Alade and his friends moved to the streets of Lagos Island to shoot the video of his hit song Sisi Eko remix, featuring Flavour N’abania.
It was a beautiful and colourful day as musicians, comedians, actors and music directors took over the popular Broad Street as passers-by watched on and even participated in some scene as camera rolled.
The video was shot by Mark Hofemeyr of Trademark Pictures who was also responsible for Darey’s other videos including Not The Girl, No Stars, The Way You Are and Banikidi. The video shoot saw a host of celebrities making cameo appearances including Ali Baba, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Seun Kuti, Omawumi, Waje, Julius Agwu, Dr Sid, Skales, Chris (GUS 2012 winner), Modenine, Timi Dakolo, Tee Y Mix, Tosyn Bucknor, Mo’ Eazy, Zaina and several others.
Darey recently hit the airwaves with a new single Asiko which features Jozi and Ice Prince. He has been up and about performing at a bevy of shows and promoting his most recent double album Heart Beat.
