LOC Plans Big For Street Soccer

Local Organising Committee, LOC of the Lagos Street Soccer Championship, says new innovations will be added to Season 5 of the grassroots soccer tournament this year.

The season five of the Street Soccer Championship will kick off in July and the sponsor has also reaffirmed its commitment to partner with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development in its continued sponsorship of the championship.

The LOC said in a statement made available to P.M.News that the Sports Ministry is determined to reignite the vision, incorporate a range of innovations for the purpose of bringing additional value to the competition, raise the overall standard and offer unprecedented mileage to the sponsor.

The LOC stated that the 2012 edition will witness the introduction of Player Mentoring Programme, PMP, Female and Corporate categories in a bid to give more scope and promote growth in participation.

The LOC said the Player Mentoring Programme is the silver lining in this yearís tourney, which is designed to put the focus on the players by implementing organised scouting and developmental initiatives, aimed at identifying talented players.
