Bala Mohammed has told SuperSport.com he has no plan to play in the Nigeria National League (NNL) next season should Jigawa Golden Stars be relegated.

The Golden Stars are fourth from bottom on 35 points and Mohammed still believes his team are in with a fighting chance of surviving the drop.

“I don’t want Jigawa Stars to be relegated and that’s why you have seen that the players and officials have done so well in the past four matches. We have not lost a game in our last four matches and that has helped our confidence a lot,” said the midfielder.

When prodded further by SuperSport.com on whether he will remain with Jigawa Golden Stars if they are relegated, Mohammed said: “I’m not hoping for that to happen. But if that happens I will not like to play in the lower division.”
