A Kenyan official says that injury has forced Moses Mosop to drop out of the Kenya Olympic marathon team.

Athletics Kenya President Isaiah Kiplagat said Tuesday that Mosop, the Chicago Marathon title holder, had written to AK to pull out of the team citing a tendon injury.

Kiplagat says Mosop will be replaced by Emmanuel Mutai, the 2011 London Marathon champion. Mutai joins 2012 London Marathon winner Wilson Kipsang and two-time defending world champion Abel Kirui on the team.
