Chief Coach of Makbet Academy, Moses Obafemi has warned their opponents, Insurance FC to prepare for a tough game when they clash in the semi final of Governor Babatunde Fashola Soccer Competition on Sunday at the Ibeshe College, playground, Ikorodu.
Speaking after his team defeated Blessing FC 3-0 in the quarter final stage, Obafemi told GSG that having reached the semi final stage, his target is to lift the cup.
“We have proved our critics wrong by reaching the semi final stage. We have come a long way for us not to win the cup. Insurance should not think they will beat us to the final ticket on Sunday because we are coming with high expectations,” he said.
Obafemi, who is impressed with the spirit of his players in the camp, noted that they are going to approach the game with all seriousness, adding that anything short of victory will be a huge disappointment to their fans.
“It is going to be another tough match for us because Insurance FC are equally a good side. We have prepared very well and ready to take them to the cleaners,” he boasted.
Match Coordinator, Godday Esezobor warned the two teams to play the game according to the rules and regulations. He have engaged the service of competent referees to officiate the game.
Meanwhile, the cup donor, Kaoli Olusanya, donated the new set of jerseys for the finalists.
