New director appointed for TY Danjuma foundation

The TY Danjuma Foundation has appointed Dr Edugie Abebe as its new Interim Executive Director, according to a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday and signed by Mr James Gala, the Communication Officer of the foundation.

Abebe would replace Ms Thelma Ekiyor, who resigned voluntarily after serving the foundation from Jan. 4, 2010 to June 10, 2012.The statement said that the new director was a former Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transport.“She is a highly motivated, committed and focused medical professional and a seasoned top flight administrator.”

The statement said the director had called on the staff of the organisation to work as a team.It also quoted her as pledging to continue with the humanitarian services of the foundation in line with the vision of its Founder and Chairman, Gen. TY Danjuma.
