Soccer Talents of Ijebu Ode and J.B.B. Academy of Ikorodu will trade tackles in the opening match of Sesan Dada Charity Cup, which will be played at Alasalatu Agbaye playground, Owutu, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos on Saturday by 3p.m.
The tournament, which is sponsored by Sesan Dada, Supervisor for Chieftaincy Affairs, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, LCDA, is organised by the Ikorodu West Grassroots Football Development Forum. The Forum is an affiliate of the Ikorodu Divisional Football Association.
GSG gathered that important dignitaries have been invited to grace the opening ceremony which is expected to be colourful with other side attractions.
Teams in the tournament are divided into eight groups of four teams each. Buruj FC, Oladunjoye FC, United Stars and Olufe FC are part of them.
According to the organisers, the winners of the tourney will get the sum of N50,000, while N30,000, N20,000 and N10,000 will be given to the second, third and fourth place winners respectively. Awards will also be given to the highest goal scorer, most valuable player and the best goalkeeper of the championship.
