West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is ready to raid former club Blackburn for striker Nigerian Yakubu Aiyegbeni for peanuts and will hold talks with Mohamed Diame tomorrow.
Yakubu has a £1million buy-out clause in his contract, which allows him to leave for just £1million. The Super Eagles striker, however, wants to stay in the Premier League despite interest from China and the Middle East.
Former Wigan midfielder Diame, 24, is due to fly in for talks tomorrow ahead of a weekend medical but is also expecting to talk to three other Premier League clubs.
Allardyce met Juventus officials in Italy on Tuesday to discuss potential loans for Milos Krasic and Eljero Elia after being priced out of moves for Wolves duo Matt Jarvis and Michael Kightly.
