Riots break out in Kaduna

Riots have broken out in the Nigerian city of Kaduna, hours after several churches were bombed by Boko Haram elements.

Angry Christian youths attacked Hausa-Fulani muslims at Goni Gora, Nasarawa, Sabon Tasha and Barnawa.

There were bomb explosions both in Zaria and Kaduna, with reports saying that no fewer than five churches were affected.

At about 12 noon , the Goni-Gora youths attacked Hausa muslims on Okada and passers-by along Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way and then Trikania .

The attacks have left more than five persosn dead and several others injured .

The youths also attacked innocent travelers on Kaduna-Abuja express way. Figures of affected victims were uncertain , but sources said lots of cars were destroyed and some identified Hausa muslims macheted.

Soldiers have been drafted to all troubled spots to ensure security.
