In its bid to fight piracy, the authorities of the Yoruba Video Films Producers/Marketers Association of Nigeria (YOVIFPMAN), have arrested another set of movie pirates.

The pirates, after being nabbed, were prosecuted at the Lagos State Mobile Court, Alausa, where some of them were sentenced. Earlier this year, some were arrested and detained at Lion Building Police Command.

An executive of YOVIFPMAN, Okanlawon Tunji Oluwole of Vision Productions, confirmed the development to NollywoodReel, adding that the association will not rest on its oars in bringing the pirates, who had been feasting on the intellectual property of artistes, to book.

“It will be a continuous effort and we are not going to give up until these people (pirates) stop feasting on our works,” he stated.

The raid was said to have been carried out with the support of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board task force team.
