The Anambra House of Assembly has received the list of 12 commissioner-designates from Governor Peter Obi of Anambra.
According to the speaker, Mrs Chinwe Nwaebili, the nominees would be screened today and confirmed on Thursday.
Five of the immediate past commissioners in the cabinet also made the list.
The former commissioners who made the list are Professor Stella Okunna, who until the dissolution of the State Executive Council was in-charge of the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget.
Others are Messrs Robert Okonkwo,Emeka Nwankwu, Callistus Ilozunmba and Peter Afuba, who headed the Ministries of Special Duties and Transport, Water Resources and Public Utilities, Works and Lands and Survey, respectively.
Other nominees are Messrs Joe Martins Uzodike, Vincent Ezenwaji, Patrick Obi, Lady Henrietta Agbata, Mrs Azuka Enemuo, Dr Edozie Aroh and Chike Ohamobi.
Nwaebili said that eight more commissioner nominees would be sent to the House by the governor at a later date for screening and confirmation. (NAN)
