PDP Party Of Composite Terrorism, says Ihonvbere

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is an “organization of composite retrogression,” former Special Adivser on Project Monitoring and Policy Implementation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere has said.

The Professor  of Political Economy who recently dumped the party for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), made the remark while addressing a campaign rally in Owan West local government of the state as part of effort to drum up support for the re-election of Comrade Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state, southsouth Nigeria.

According to him, he aspired to be governor of the state on the platform of the PDP with the intention of completing the good works of Governor Oshiomhole, but that unknown to him, the PDP which had earlier claimed to have rebranded, would never change its politics of imposition.

Ihonvbere told the rally that he has truly left the party and no amount of intimidation would make him reverse that decision, adding that now that he could not get the governorship ticket, the only option open to him was to “support Governor Oshiomhole so as to finish the good work he has started.”

He conveyed the governor’s promise to the people of Owan West that he would build a higher institution in the local government in his second term in office, just as he pledged a N1 million in support of the party in the local government and scholarship to two persons from the ward on behalf of his Foundation.
