Nigeria Committee To Get High Performance Equipment

President of Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, Sani Ndanusa, has disclosed that the NOC has concluded plans to acquire a high performance equipment to enable Nigerian athletes perform very well in international competitions.

Speaking with P.M.Sports at the U.J. Esuene, Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State, venue of the 66th All Nigeria Athletics Championships, Ndanusa said Nigeria cannot be behind other countries of the world in area of maintaining professionalism and standard hence the resolve to acquire the equipment.

On the athletics meet, he thanked the Cross River State for the hosting. “I want to thank the people of Cross River State and the government for their support to the AFN and the NOC because without them this competition wouldn’t have been a complete success,” said Ndanusa, who is also the President of Nigeria Tennis Federation, NTF.

He said this year’s Olympics will be the best for Team Nigeria because all the sporting federations especially the AFN have shown that they have what it takes to win medals for the country.

He was also quick to dispel rumors making the rounds that Team Nigeria will not be allowed to camp at the Surrex Camp because the country has not pay for the camp, saying “it is a lie, we have since settled our bills, Team Nigeria will camp in Surrex.”

He warned the athletes against doping.
