2 Sex Workers Sent To Kirikiri For Theft

A man got a raw deal in the hands of two sex workers when he went to a brothel to satisfy his sexual desire. But the prostitutes have now landed in Kirikiri Prison.

While the man called Ayodele, 42, was having sex with one of the sex workers identified as Bekky,19, another prostitute, Titilayo, 21,  sneaked into the room and allegedly stole his gold necklace chain worth N138,000 and undisclosed amount of money.

The incident happened at a popular brothel at Ashodu street, Ijora Badia, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

He discovered that his expensive jewellery and money had been stolen when he wanted to wear his clothes.

When he demanded for his jewellery and money, the prostitutes threatened to tell his wife that he came to the brothel to have sex with them.

Idowu went to the Badia Police Station and reported the matter and the defendants were arrested.

The two women were arraigned before Apapa Magistrate’s court, Lagos.

They are facing charges of conspiracy and stealing before the presiding Magistrate, Mr H. O. A. Amos.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge and  the court granted them bail in the sum N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till 12 July this year, while they were remanded at Kirikiri Prison custody when they could not meet their bail conditions.
