33 Hoodlums Arrested At Black Spots

Following complaints by members of the public on the activities of hoodlums in their area, the Area ‘A’ Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Mr. Umar O. Surajudeen, led police operatives to Agarawu Petty Street, Adeniji Adele under bridge and Sura Area of Lagos Island, to arret the hoodlums.

It was learnt that during the operation which lasted for hours, 21 hoodlums were arrested.

A resident in the area, Isah Amedu, thanked the police for the operation, saying the area is now calm as people can now go about their business without being molested.

Similarly, following a distress call from residents of Ogogoro village and under bridge to the DPO in charge of Adeniji Adele Police Station that hoodlums were terrorising them, a combined team of policemen led by the DPO raided the area and arrested 12 hoodlums and recovered weapons from them.

Items recovered during the raid include locally made pistol, two matchette and a saw.

The suspects were taken to Adeniji Adele Police Station where they made confessional statements to the police.
