The final of Mobolaji Johnson football championship will hold on Sunday at the FIFA Legacy pitch of National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
To reach the final stage, Aderele Football Club of Alimosho defeated Young Stricker Football Club of Orile Iganmu 1-0 while, Super Soccer Football Club of Mainland humbled Red Tiger Football Club of Ajah 2-0 to book a place in the final.
In the third place final decided recently at Myoung Barrack, Yaba, Red Tiger walloped Young Stricker FC 3-2.
Match Coordinator, Ganiu Aliu disclosed that they have put logistic in place to host a memorable event. He urged the players and football fans not to take law into their hand during and after the game.
“We will discipline any player that cause trouble during or after the game. We have informed the two finalists to shun any violence that may bring the tourney into disrepute during the final,” he said.
Aliu also thanked the cup donor, Mobolaji Johnson who has been sponsoring the tournament for 15 years. He urged other sports philanthropists to commit their resources to football development in Lagos.
