Cafe owner dies after serving Obama breakfast

An Ohio woman collapsed and died hours after serving US President Barack Obama breakfast at her restaurant, the local Akron Beacon Journal newspaper reported Friday.

Josephine Ann Harris, 70, owner of the “Ann’s Place” diner in Akron complained of fatigue and a tingling feeling after Obama left the premises and was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack.

Obama stopped by the restaurant on the second day of a bus tour through Ohio and Pennsylvania and ate two eggs with bacon and wheat toast and grits, as he breakfasted with three tire factory workers.

Harris had met and hugged the president when he was at the restaurant, the paper said.
