P-Square Mother’s Corpse Arrives Sunday

The remains of Mrs. Josephine Okoye, the mother of multiple award-winning music group, P-Square, will arrive Nigeria from India on Sunday.

The corpse, which will be accompanied by Lilian and Mary, the only daughters of the deceased, is expected to leave India tomorrow then arrive Nigeria later on Sunday.

Mrs. Okoye, who was in her 60s, died at about 11pm on Wednesday, about five hours after she had a heart surgery in Apollo Hospital, India.

She had been in and out of hospital in the last four months here in Nigeria before she was eventually flown abroad for proper medical attention.

Mrs. Okoye was diagnosed of diabetes, the ailment was later said to have affected a part of her heart, which she needed to operate upon.

“After so much prayers, we decided to undergo the operation. They had even called us that the operation was successful, but unfortunately, we received another call few hours later that she was dead,” a family source said.

Mrs. Okoye, was a major pillar and source of inspiration to the singing twin brothers.
