Ajimobi Congratulates Oshiomhole, Mukhtar
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State and the Oyo State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) have congratulated Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, over his re-election as governor.
In separate statements issued in Ibadan, tey described his victory as well deserved.
Governor Ajimobi also felicitated with Justice Aloma Maryam Mukhtar on her appointment as the first female Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Governor Ajimobi said Oshiomhole’s landslide victory at the poll was an appreciation of his outstanding performance in the last four years by the people of Edo State, adding that the triumph was a demonstration of the love the people of the state had for him and ACN.
According to the governor, Oshiomhole’s victory is victory for democracy and good governance.
“It is a victory that every lover of good governance must applaud as we are doing in Oyo State. With his victory, Governor Oshiomhole has become a classical example of reward for performance. His is a well-deserved victory and he is a pride to our great party, ACN,” he noted.
While urging Governor Oshiomhole to see his re-election as a challenge for greater performance, Governor Ajimobi prayed for God’s guidance so that he can take Edo State to the Promised Land and leave a good legacy after his tenure.
The governor also commended Justice Mukhtar’s elevation to the seat of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, describing her as a pride to womanhood and the Nigerian judiciary.
“On behalf of the people and government of Oyo State, I congratulate Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar on her confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
“Aside Justice Mukhtar’s appointment as an affirmation of providence’s equal deposit of quality brain in both male and female genders, the appointment is also a great pointer to the limitless possibilities in the world for a hard-working, trustworthy and conscientious creation of God Almighty,” he stated.
