More Pay For Falcons
National Coordinator of the Super Falcons, Aisha Falode, has revealed that plans are underway to increase the match bonuses of the players of the senior national side at the coming Africa Women Championship, AWC, slated for Equatorial Guinea in November.
Speaking early today, Falode disclosed that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, is set to increase the wages of the players as they progress at the biennial championship.
“There was a time when Super Falcons’ players used to receive $2,500 as their match bonuses. But I know that they will surely receive more than this as they advance from one stage to the other at the AWC in Equatorial Guinea,” revealed Falode.
She added: “I don’t have the exact figure but the players will be duely rewarded at the tourney. They will get greater match bonuses than they used to get before as long as they continue to win their matches at the championship.”
