A global survey conducted by condom manufacturer, Durex, has revealed that Nigerians are among the most sexually satisfied people in the world.
Durex said on Tuesday in a statement issued to mark the survey’s release that the online study questioned more than 26,000 respondents across 26 countries about every aspect of their sex lives in a bid to chart comprehensively “what constitutes intimate well-being.”
Among other things, it found Nigeria to be the most sexually satisfied nation at (67%), followed by Mexico (63%), India (61%) and Poland (54%). The least sexually satisfied people in the world, according to the survey, are the Japanese, with a mere 15% of respondents from that country giving their love lives a thumbs-up.
Although most Malaysians agree that sex is important, fewer than two in five (38%) of them are satisfied with their sex lives.
“On average, South Africans have sex 120 times a year — considerably more than the global average of 103. It is the sexed-up Greeks who have the most sex, at 164 times a year, with Brazil next (145), followed by Poland and Russia (both 143). “The Japanese are the least sexually active nation, Being Intimate just 48 times a year,” Durex said.
South Africans also spend more time actually Being Intimate, with sessions lasting an average 20 minutes, compared with the 18-minute world average, the survey found.
“The Nigerians take the longest time over sex, at 24 minutes per session, while Indians have the quickest sex, at 13 minutes.”
