Ogun LG Poll: Group Canvasses For ACN Candidates

A group, Yewa Youth Front (YYF) has urged the electorate in Ogun State to tow the path of continuity and robust development by voting for candidates of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in tomorrow’s local government election.

In a statement jointly signed by the Front’s President, Samuel Akande and Secretary, Wale Elegbede, the group noted that the dynamic performance of previously elected office holders in the state under the platform of the ACN is a testimony to the responsible leadership the party offers.

The group averred that the pace of development in the 20 local governments of the state can only be enhanced if the party at the centre in the state is also in place in the local governments.

“It is necessary for us to learn from history and not allow agents of disunity rob us of our common vision and unity of purpose needed to take our grassroots government to the next level.

“The welfare ideology and qualitative representation of the ACN should be the attraction for the electorate and that is what they need to vote for,” they stated.

They urged the electorate to be security conscious and vigilant before, during and after the election, saying that the era of ballot snatching and rigging is gone.
