StarTimes Rewards Subscribers In N2m Promo

As part of efforts to rewards brand loyalty, the management of StarTimes says it is giving out over N2million cash gift and numerous household items to it’s more than 750,000 subscribers in the country.

Speaking at a media forum in Lagos on Tuesday, the  pay TV’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Celestine Umeibe,  said  the promo is the company’s  way of rewarding subscribers for their loyalty and patronage in the last two years.

He also said the promo  is a reward programme mapped out to celebrate the organisation’s two years of successful DTT operations in Nigeria.

The promo, according to Umeibe, starts on 16 July and would run till 8 September 2012 in eight cities where StarTimes is currently operating.

Umeibe said the StarTimes second anniversary promo would reward one national prize winner N2 million, eight regional star prize winners of a N100,000 each, 54 prize winners for LCD TV, 96 prize winners for CRT TV, 90 prize winners for StarTimes Mobile TV, 42 prize winners for StarTimes GPS Car TV (only available in Abuja and Lagos) and other consolation prizes.

He added that the  weekly draws would hold in different regions, where weekly winners for LCD televisions, CRT televisions, StarTimes Mobile Televisions, StarTimes GPS Car televisions and other consolation prize winners would emerge, while the regional star prize and the national grand prize draws would hold on a later date at the end of the promo, where a national grand prize winner will emerge in addition to other eight regional star prize winners. Also speaking at the event, StarTimes Brand Manager, Mr. Bayo Okeowo, assured subscribers of the credibility of the promo.

He said: “StarTimes as a brand built on integrity, wishes to assure its subscribers and Nigerians in general of a free and fair promo. We, therefore, ask our subscribers and Nigerians to fully participate in the StarTimes N2 million second anniversary promo.

He added: “We believe that Nigerians can testify to the success of our first anniversary promo, which was applauded by many for its fairness and transparency. The grand finale witnessed the presentation of N1 million cheque to the lucky winner, in addition to five other regional star prize winners.

“This year, apart from the fact that subscribers stand a chance to win N2 million and other prizes, they also have more channels and exciting programmes to watch on the platform.

“We are much bigger and much better than last year and with operations in eight cities and more expansion plan in few months to come, our subscribers can be rest assured that StarTimes would provide them the best quality digital TV services at an affordable cost.
