Angry youths in Niger state Saturday threatened to burn down Minna General Hospital following the refusal of the management of the hospital to hand over to them a suspect who attempted to steal two kids at the hospital.
The youths demanded the release of the suspect for them to set him ablaze and attempted setting the hospital ablaze along with the security guard for not allowing them access to the suspect.
Police were drafted to the hospital where they used teargas to disperse the angry youths.
According to officials of the hospital, the suspect whose name is yet to be ascertained attempted taking away the school age children of a staff of State Hospital Management Board who was at the hospital for a meeting.

The suspect was arrested while trying to cross the abandoned gate of the hospital.
The brother of the suspect who refused to give his name and claimed to be a lawyer, said the suspect has mental disorder.
