Amosun Swears In Elected Ogun State Council Chairmen

Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun this morning swore in the newly-elected local government council chairmen in the State at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the state capital.

The governor charged the new council bosses to see their new position as a call to service and not to enrich themselves.

Amosun warned them to urgently embark on people oriented programmes in their various local government councils.

He reminded them of the expectations of the people from them being the closest government to the grassroots.

Earlier, the Secretary, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa thanked the outgone caretaker chairmen of all the 20 local governments in the state.

He stated that the government acknowledged their stewardship while in office for over one year, adding “we commend your service and appreciate you.

“Today, you are bowing out of office after one year and 15 days in office. We will continue to appreciate you as part of us and we shall together continue to support the government.”
