F/Eagles Play Rwanda

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will tomorrow play an international friendly match against the U-20 team of Rwanda in Kigali, as they prepare for the Africa Youth Championship, AYC, qualifier against Tanzania on 29 July.

Adebobola Alawode reports that the return leg will come up on 11 August at the Ilorin Township Stadium, Kwara State. Winners of the two legs qualifier will later face the winners of the Congo match against South Africa.

John Obuh, coach of the Flying Eagles, who are the defending champions of the AYC, which Nigeria won in South Africa last year, believes the friendly match is a good test for his team because Rwanda and Tanzania have similar style of play.

“Tuesday’s match against Rwanda is a good one for us.” A total of 20 players made the trip to Rwanda.
